YOUR HOME BY THE SEA

Burgas Province

The southern Black Sea coast, from Obzor in the north to Tsarevo and the border in the south. The largest resorts in Bulgaria are here, Sunny Beach and Nesebar, along with the old towns of Sozopol and Pomorie and Burgas itself, with its airport and its year-round life. Listings range from studios in seaside complexes to houses in the quiet villages behind the shore.

Complexes in the area

Sunny Beach369 available of 369

Sunny Beach

Sunny Beach is the largest seaside resort in the country, with around 8 km of beach and a gentle slope into the water. Development is mostly complexes with pools, most of them from the last twenty years. A studio or a one-bedroom apartment near the sea costs less here than in Nesebar or Sveti Vlas. The season runs from May to September, and few places stay open through the winter.

Sveti Vlas158 available of 371

Sveti Vlas

Sveti Vlas lies below the southern slopes of the Balkan range, about 3 km north of Sunny Beach. Marina Dinevi, the largest yacht harbour on the Bulgarian coast, is here. The residential buildings climb the hill above the harbour, and the bay is visible from the upper floors. The pine forests on the slopes keep the air drier than down on the plain. The beaches of Sunny Beach are a few minutes away by car, but the evenings in Sveti Vlas are quiet.

Nesebar4 available of 4

Nesebar

Old Nesebar occupies a small peninsula joined to the shore by a narrow isthmus and is on the UNESCO list for its churches and revival houses. Property is bought almost entirely in the new town on the other side of the isthmus: residential buildings and complexes within walking distance of the beach. Sunny Beach begins immediately to the north, so shops, schools and transport work outside the season as well.

Aheloy2 available of 2

Aheloy

A settlement between Pomorie and Nesebar, at the mouth of the Aheloy river, with a wide beach and fast-growing new build. Sunny Beach, Pomorie and Burgas airport are all close, and prices are lower than in the resorts themselves. Suitable for seasonal and for year-round use alike.

Burgas1 available of 1

Burgas

Burgas is the fourth largest city in Bulgaria and the administrative centre of the province. It has an airport, a university and a large port, and work does not stop when the season ends. The beaches of Sarafovo and Kraymorie lie within the city, and the Sea Garden runs along the central beach. Property here is bought mainly to live in; the southern resorts are 20 to 40 minutes away.

Elenite1 available of 1

Elenite

Elenite is a holiday village on the shore between Sveti Vlas and Irakli bay, surrounded by wooded slopes. It is built up with complexes and villas on a gated site with its own access to the beach. It works mainly through the summer season and is almost empty outside it. Sveti Vlas and Sunny Beach are 10 to 15 minutes away by car.

Pomorie1 available of 1

Pomorie

Pomorie sits on a narrow peninsula between the sea and the Pomorie lake. Besides tourism the town lives on its salt pans, its wineries and spa treatment with lagoon mud. Winter does not empty the streets, and some buyers here are looking for a permanent home rather than a summer one. The beach is long, with coarse dark sand.

Ravda1 available of 1

Ravda

Ravda is a village between Nesebar and Sunny Beach with a long beach and mostly low-rise building. The shops and restaurants are enough for a year-round stay, while the nightlife of Sunny Beach remains a few kilometres away. Buyers here are often families with children.
